Justin Long Going To Hell![]()
Even though Ellen Page dropped out of the project last week, Sam Raimi’s Drag Me To Hell is proceeding along through development just fine. Variety announced today that Justin Long, a.k.a. “The Mac Guy,” will be joining the movie, starring opposite Alison Lohman, who replaced Page.
Raimi and his brother Ivan co-wrote the screenplay, a morality tale about the recipient of a supernatural curse. Lohman will presumably be the cursed one, while Long plays her boyfriend. I have no idea what the actual role will entail, but generally the boyfriend of a girl who is cursed doesn’t end the movie too happily. It’s always nice to see Long getting work, especially since the Mac vs. PC ads are starting to wear out their welcome, and the kid’s gotta pay the bills somehow. Of course, he’s been seen nonstop in paparazzi photos with Drew Barrymore, so I wouldn’t have too much pity for him one way or another. Still, as a girl always happy to see more geek guys on the big screen, I heartily approve. |
