Keith Richards, stop toying with us! No one cares enough to put up with this.

Last week we reported that Keith Richards was out of Pirates of the Caribbean 2 due to scheduling issues. Honestly, I couldn’t have been happier. I don’t think they need him. But Keith has gone and done another about face, and it looks like he’s back in. Well maybe.

Often unreliable news resource WENN reports that Richards has agreed to appear in the film as Captain Jack Sparrow’s father, at least according to Orlando Bloom. “We're going to have an appearance by the great Keith Richards,” says Bloom.

Of course, Bloom might just be out of touch, and be unaware that Keith has bowed out, but WENN insists Keith is back in. For now, I’ll keep him in the “maybe” category and hope this turns out to be false. Pirates doesn’t need a dumb gimmick.
