If you saw Role Models then you know all about LARP. It’s an acronym for Live Action Role Play, which is what those people you saw in the park swordfighting while dressed up as knights were doing. Role Models proved watching grown men play let’s make believe can be a hell of a lot of fun on screen, and Knights of Badassdom promises to take that concept to a whole new level.

Here’s the first ever trailer for Knights of Badassdom, as it debuted at the San Diego Comic Con today. The movie stars the greatness of Peter Dinklage, Steve Zahn, Summer Glau, and True Blood’s Ryan Kwanten in the story of three friends to go LARPing and accidentally summon a real demon. Watch:



I’m in. I’ll follow Peter Dinklage anywhere, but I’m even happier about following him when it’s into something that looks this cool. They seem to have found a good balance between nerdy funny and absolute, actual badassness. I’d say the title’s pretty appropriate.
