Now that Sarah Michelle Gellar is long done with playing Buffy, Kristen Bell has taken over as the favorite hottie of needy nerds. She’s since translated her geek popularity into an upcoming geek movie called Fanboys, but once that’s done with she’s doing something a little more traditional. She’s signed up for a romantic comedy.

The Hollywood Reporter says she’s joining ‘How I Met Your Mother’ star Jason Segal in a “romantic disaster movie” called Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Bell plays a TV sitcom star who dumps her boyfriend (Segal). The film follows her jilted ex as he escaped to Hawaii in an attempt to forget her, only to find out that she’s staying at his resort with her new boyfriend.

Kristen Bell can still be seen on the television series ‘Veronica Mars’. She’s also the voice of the lead character in an upcoming animated movie called Flatland, based on a book by Edward Abbott.
