The marketing battle waged between rival Snow White projects rages on. Right after Tarsem Singh’s Mirror Mirror unleashes a colorful sneak-peek clip with Lily Collins as the fairest of them all, Snow White and the Huntsman counters with an upclose shot of their lead actress, Kristen Stewart. We have it below:



So, it’s just a screen grab from the Huntsman trailer, and it doesn’t show much of the Twilight superstar beyond her luscious green eyes, pouty lips and penchant for keeping her mouth hanging open a quarter of an inch. But still, it’s Stewart, so take that, Mirror Mirror.

The photo was released to the official Snow White Twitter feed, a decent reminder that fans of anticipated films need to play along with social media avenues, as studios are turning to Twitter, Facebook and more in an effort to drum up publicity for upcoming films. Sometimes it’s a simple screen grab of a popular actor or actress. But other times, it’s a unique viral game, as was the case with The Hunger Games, The Dark Knight Rises and David Fincher’s The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

As for Snow White and the Huntsman, it’s directed by Rupert Sanders. It co-stars Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron (as the Evil Queen). And it’s due in theaters on June 1 … nearly three months after Julia Roberts and Collins’ Mirror Mirror. The battle rages on.
