She may have lost the Golden Globe last night to Kate Winslet, but Kristin Scott Thomas won't be struggling for work any time soon. Having just wrapped up her run on Broadway with The Seagull, Scott Thomas has signed on to join Nowhere Boy, a feature about the childhood of John Lennon.
Scott Thomas will play Lennon's Aunt Mimi, according to Variety, British actress Anne-Marie Duff as Lennon's mother Julia. Aaron Johnson, who you haven't heard of yet but will also be starring in the comic book adaptation Kick Ass, will play Lennon.
It's unclear whether there's a real, interesting story here, or if the only appeal here is in telling the childhood story of one of history's most famous musicians. Regardless, the level of talent here is unmistakable, so it's got a head start even before filming starts in March.
