Kung Fu Panda Dares To Mess With The Zohan![]()
It’s a battle of the unlikely warriors this weekend. On the one hand is Adam Sandler returning to his tired old shenanigans as a modern middle-eastern soldier turned hair-dresser trying . On the other is Jack Black as Po, a Panda chosen by fate to become a Kung Fu hero. Both try to bring the funny. Only one succeeds.
Don’t Mess With The Zohan [Read The CB Review] crosses into bizarre territories with a concept that’s a stretch even for the twisted mind of Judd Apatow. Critics in general are showing little love for it , though CB’s Josh Tyler gave it four stars. If you have an Austin Powers’ poster on your bedroom wall and can’t wait to see Adam Sandler give the character-type the Jewish treatment, this one just might be for you. On the other hand, if you want the comedy that won’t disappoint no matter how old you are, toss your ticket money at Kung Fu Panda [Read The CB Review]. Reviewers love it and ticket pre-sales for the movie are outselling Zohan seven to one. Po the Panda won’t be a record breaker, but he’s a solid bet for number one this weekend. |
