Kutcher Takes On Tokyo![]()
Twentieth Century Fox has picked up a project for Ashton Kutcher called The Engineer, and it sounds an awful lot like a contemporary version of the Ben Affleck movie, Paycheck.
Variety says the film, being written by Mike Finch, is described as the story of an American engineer trapped in Tokyo for 24 frantic hours after being labeled a terrorist. Speaking as a former engineer, we're really not as resourceful as Hollywood seems to think we are. Drop me in Tokyo without a travel agent and I'll be dead or in prison within minutes, and that's under normal circumstances. If Ashton plans to keep on working as an actor, he'd better hope Engineer does more for his career than Paycheck did for Affleck. Kutcher's not exactly a hot commodity anymore. People are creeped out by his relationship with Demi Moore, he hasn't put out a movie since 2005's A Lot Like Love, and his next movie The Guardian is in competition with The Marine for worst trailer of the year. |
