Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince shifted its release to next summer weeks ago, and while most of the fans have calmed down and accepted a Harry-free winter, Hollywood studios are still having to deal with the effects. Land of the Lost, the Will Ferrell action comedy set in a land full of dinosaurs and other magical creatures, had been slated for July 17 of next summer-- until Harry Potter moved to the same date and ruined everything. Now The Hollywood Reporter says that Land of the Lost has finally settled on a new home.
The movie will open June 5, the only movie scheduled to open on that date. It bumped Fast and Furious to the next weekend, June 12, but everyone involved seems confident that Will Ferrell family comedies and sequels to car-driving movies don't exactly attract the same audiences. So while you still have a long, long wait for Harry, at least there's less time before you get to see some Sleestaks!
