Movie-goers will be happy to know that Devil comes out this Friday. Why? Because now they can focus less of their energy booing M. Night Shyamalan's name and, instead, focus on the feature they are actually there to see. Sadly, though, it won't be the last of the once-notable director's "Night Chronicles," and now details are emerging on the second outing.

Formally titled Twelve Strangers, Deadline reports that the next project under Shyamalan's banner will be Reincarnate, based on a script by Chris Sparling (the writer who crafted the upcoming Ryan Reynolds thriller Buried). The project will be directed by The Last Exorcism-helmer Daniel Stamm and will go into production some time next year. According to the report, the film will center on a "jury haunted by supernatural forces while deciding the fate of an accused murderer."

Some of you may remember last month when I reported a rumor that Stamm would be working with Lars von Trier for his next project. I drew that conclusion because Stamm mentioned he would be working with his "favorite filmmaker in the world" on his next project and Eli Roth had mentioned to me that Stamm was greatly influenced by the Dogville filmmaker. Turns out that Stamm's "favorite filmmaker in the world" is M. Night Shyamalan. I see rough times ahead, my friends.
