I hate to say it, because I actually have high hopes for the project, but Nimrod Antel's Predators has so far stacked its deck with a couple of wusses. Historians would note that the original cast was packed with hardcore badasses such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers and Jesse Ventura. So far the new film is centered around perpetual middle-gazer Adrian Brody and Topher Grace, who has made Tobey Maguire look manly. At the rate they were going, it would have only been a matter of time before Michael Cera and Jesse Eisenberg were getting ready to strap on ol' painless. Fortunately, Morpheus is going to put an end to that nonsense.

Collider reports that Laurence Fishburne has joined the cast of Predators. His character's name is Noland and... that's about all we know. What can you do? It's a closed set.

The film does already have a resident hard-ass in Danny Trejo, and for whatever reason, I excited to see some interaction between the two. Even if they don't get much screen time together, I do have one request: two big bitch slaps on either side of Topher Grace's face for Spider-Man 3. He knows he has it coming.
