M. Night’s hard to figure out new movie The Happening has added another name to the cast. Already starring is Mark Wahlberg as a man who takes his family on the run when a natural disaster threatens to destroy the world. I’m not sure why he’s running, if it’s the whole planet that’s going to go there really aren’t many escape options. Perhaps he plans to live on the moon… whoops no we spent all the proper funding NASA should have gotten on blowing things up and paying off other country’s debts.

New to the cast according to Variety is John Leguizamo. They don’t say who or what he’ll be playing, I doubt he’ll be one of Wahlberg’s kids. Every disaster movie of course needs a brave, resolute president but for that I doubt they’ll cast a guy whose resume includes a role where he gets high, strips naked, puts a sock on his dick, and masterbates while jumping up and down on a bed. Presidential roles are usually best left to Morgan Freeman.

The thing about Leguizamo is that when he’s good, he’s really good. He’s flat out brilliant in Moulin Rouge for instance. Then there are those other movies in, you know, the ones which no one has watched.
