Production Weekly may not know how to spell John Leguizamo’s name (and who can blame them), but they know what he’s planning as one of his next movies. They say he’s in talks to star in a new movie for Franc. Reyes called The Ministers.

If he takes the job, this will be Leguizamo’s second time working with Reyes. In 2002 he starred in her first writing and directing gig, a movie called Empire. Empire was a movie about a drug dealer, while The Ministers is about someone on the other side of the law, a female cop investigating a religious group which may be connected with the murder of her father 13 years ago. Hopefully cops and religious cults will get her more notice than she got with Empire Be honest, you’d never heard of it either.

No word on who Leguizamo will play in the film, but don’t count him out as the female cop. He’s never had a problem wearing lipstick.
