While Angelina Jolie is prowling the world helping starving children (and adopting a few along the way), Leonardo Dicaprio is trying his own hand at activism. An avid earth-lover, he has tried to bring attention to the problems of the global environment through his most accessible vessel: the media.

According to Hollywood Reporter, Leo is producing 11th Hour, a feature-length documentary that examines the state of the environment. What, you ask, is the current state? My guess is that if you shook a magic 8-ball, it would come up with "outlook not so good."

DiCaprio is producing, co-writing, and narrating the project. It will be co-directed and co-written by Leila Conners Petersen and Nadia Conners, who co-founded the Tree Media Group. I tip my hat to Leo for at least using his fame and fortune for good causes. Sleeping with a supermodel regularly doesn't count.
