Fox 2000 Pictures has made the daring decision to buy the screen rights for a story, Into The Light, that is not yet completed. The book, written by Robert Kurson under Random House publishing, will not be finished until sometime next year. But the subject matter was so appealing to their producers that Fox 2000 has scooped it right up, sight unseen.

Variety reports that the story is about Michael May, a blind man since childhood, that was able to surpass limitations and be hugely successful. He became CEO of a company that developed a global positioning unit for the blind, held the title of first blind CIA analyst, and lived happily with his wife and two sons. Amazingly, he also held the world speed record in downhill skiiing for a blind person, racing at 65mph. That is pretty impressive, considering I can barely stand up on skis and my sight is fully intact.

The movie will show his triumph over disability, and the aftermath of a surgery he received in his mid-50's to regain his vision. He was able to experience a breakthrough and a chance to live a whole new life, thanks to advancements in stem cell surgery. Take that, George W. Bush! The picture deal is worth upwards of 1 million dollars and will alert the world of the overachieving wonders of Michael May. Now that's what I call blind justice.
