Liam Neeson's Non-Stop Will Arrive In Theaters Next February
Itís not-quite-common knowledge that the best time to get cheap airfare is during January and February, as the post-holiday traffic settles down and not as many people are flying; thus, they drop the rates to get more people interested. Be warned, though. If you happen to get on a plane in late February and you see that Liam Neeson is on board, things could get hairy pretty quickly.
Neesonís next feature, Universalís Non-Stop, will be flying into theaters on February 21, according to Box Office Mojo. Anything released outside of January usually means it has a shot of attracting critics as well as audiences. Thereís a good chance this date was chosen because the only opposition at this point is the Michael Bay-produced micro-indie science fiction flick Almanac, with Paul W. S. Andersonís Pompeii releasing the next week. (I think itís just wishful thinking guiding my pessimistic view on Andersonís box office pull.)
Nearly all of Non-Stop, Neesonís second film with director Jaume Collet-Serra (Unknown), will take place in a plane flying from New York to London. Neeson will play a U.S. Air Marshal who receives a bunch of text messages demanding $150 million, or else passengers on the plane will be killed. And now Liam Neeson is the only person that Liam Neeson can trust. Weíre used to this kind of thing by now, after the actorís action film renaissance. The film also stars Julianne Moore as his seatmate, as well as Scoot McNairy, Michelle Dockery, Corey Stoll and Nate Parker.
