Rosario Dawson, welcome to hell. The geek friendly hottie whose made waves in movies like Sin City and Clerks II has been cast along with media disaster Lindsay Lohan and Tiger Beat uber heart-throb Channing Tatum in a “grandma gang” comedy called Poor Things. Get ready to embrace the crushing embrace of the paparazzi Rosario.
Variety says the Trent Haaga scripted film is based on the real-life recent arrest and conviction of elderly women involved in scamming, conning, selling drugs, engaging in fraud, and committing murder. Shirley MacLaine and Olympia Dukakis are already attached to star and it’s directed by Baron Cohen. Ash Baron Cohen who apparently is not one of the many names used by the guy who plays Borat.
One problem though. They’re supposed to start shooting on Wednesday and Lindsay Lohan is locked up in jail on suspicion of driving under the influence. She hit a curb and got caught with what the police believe to be cocaine. Poor Things may need to recast if they want to get rolling, because it looks like Paris Hilton may soon have company in the slammer. Side note: This might also be a good time for some quick thinking entrepreneur to resurrect the Caged Heat franchise. Is there any way to smuggle in a webcam?
