Lindsay Lohan is still one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood, even if her movie career has been stalling out lately and her talents haven't exactly been displayed on the rare moments when she stops partying and bothers to work. But Labor Pains, a comedy in which Lohan plays a woman who pretends to be pregnant to get ahead at work, has been touted for a while now as Lohan's comeback, and plenty of us were looking forward to see what Linds could accomplish in a good comedy.
Now, chances are most of us will never see it. MTV Movies is reporting that Labor Pains won't get a theatrical release at all, and will air on cable this summer before going straight to DVD. It's unclear what they mean by airing on cable-- it could be one of those on-demand viewing programs, or it could get tossed into Lifetime's late-night movie rotation.
Either way, it seems like a weird fate for a movie featuring Lohan, Cheryl Hines and Chris Parnell. Check out the fairly cheesy trailer below-- it may be all you get to see of the movie.
