Now that we’ve used up one Lohan and left her lying into the gutter, Hollywood is dipping into its supply of backup Lohans by enlisting Lindsay’s sister. According to Reuters, Ali Lohan is set to star in her first movie, a film based on one of young adult writer R.L. Stein’s books, Mostly Ghostly.
Ali Lohan is only 14, but as you can see from her picture she already looks 30. At least when Lindsay started out she actually looked like a pre-teen, it wasn’t until she was 18 that she looked started to look like a washed up 30-year-old stripper and mother of three. Ali it seems, is getting the jump on things.
Mostly Ghostly is a book about the adventures of an 11-year-old boy with ghosts in his bedroom. No, Ali will not play the boy. She’ll be a popular student, in the vein of the role played by her sister Lindsay in Mean Girls. So I guess that means she’s playing the movie’s obligatory bitch.
Seriously, is this a good idea? Enlisting Lindsay Lohan’s sister to make movies for kids? If you’re a parent, don’t you assume she’s going to turn into a mess just like her sister, and keep your kids far away from anything having to do with her? What parent is going to let their kid hang an Ali Lohan poster, knowing full well that by Tuesday her vagina will probably be spread all over the front page of the National Enquirer. At least she’s playing the movie’s bad guy. That’s something.
Of course it’s probably not fair to pigeonhole Ali as Lindsay 2, after all she may be nothing like her sister. But come on, the odds are not in this girl’s favor. The best thing any of us could possibly do for Ali Lohan is to avoid seeing anything she’s involved with, in the hopes that we can save her from the certain doom of becoming famous, an the inevitable cocaine binge that is surely to follow.
