Lost's Jack Bender May Finally Move Into Making Features![]()
Anyone who spent years watching Lost probably noticed after a while that many of the show's best episodes-- "Walkabout," "Greatest Hits," "The Constant," nearly every season finale-- were directed by one Jack Bender, who graduated to the role of executive producer and was one of the most influential creative voices on the show. For years he was kept too busy on Hawaii to venture into feature films, but with Lost completed Bender finally seems ready to share his skills with us on the big screen.
According to THR Bender will first be sticking to what he knows best, signing a TV production deal with J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot (the people behind Lost, of course) to direct a pilot for next spring. But with Bad Robot's production deal at Paramount Pictures, many are expecting Bender to work on a feature for Paramount as well. Bender's sole feature film credit so far is 1991's Child's Play 3, so you can imagine he'd be a little eager to prove that his excellent TV directing skills can translate to the movies. I don't doubt it for a second. Any man good enough to brings us John Locke on a weekly basis is a man I'd follow anywhere. |
