Lots Of New Images From The Happening![]()
I'm trying to keep an open mind about M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening, but I have to admit, every new piece of information about the film makes it seem less interesting. It's been criticized before for releasing only images of people standing around, looking concerned, and now that a ton of official images are available, it's pretty much the same thing. The Brazilian website CinemaEmCena has a whopping 89 images from the film, and none of them say more about The Happening, and none of them say anything more than "This is a movie about a bunch of people who travel around and are perturbed by... something."
You get one image of the event that apparently kick's off the movie's action-- people spontaneously committing suicide all over the world-- but pretty much the rest of the images feature the movie's stars (Mark Wahlberg, Zooey Deschanel and John Leguizamo) looking worried in various locations. We're worried on a city street! We're worried on a train! We're worried in a field! There are various other people in the stills, whose characters I at least don't know, and they look worried too. (But one of them is Cameron from Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and that's always fun!) That's pretty much all I can figure out. Check out some of the images below, or head over to CinemaEmCena for the full, massive gallery. Not that you really need to look at them all. You pretty much get the idea from just a handful. M. Night, are you punking us? Are you about to make us watch the most boring movie of all time? |
