In a recent interview with Dark Horizons, George Lucas thumbed his nose at fans as they all rush out to buy his watered down Star Wars trilogy on DVD this Tuesday. When asked why he didn’t release the original movies as they were originally released on DVD as well, Lucas piped up like a petulant little child:

”…it doesn't really exist anymore. It's like this is the movie I wanted it to be, and I'm sorry you saw half a completed film and fell in love with it. But I want it to be the way I want it to be.”

We’re sorry George, I didn’t realize how much we all suck for setting you up with that big mountain of cash. How stupid we all must have been for loving Star Wars. You’re right, our mistake. Of course you shall punish us by ruining your films. We deserve it. Thanks!
