Ludacris And Gerard Butler Fight MMORPGs

Ludacris And Gerard Butler Fight MMORPGs He’s bowed out of remaking Escape from New York, but Gerard Butler has another sci-fi thriller he’s working on. It’s called Game, and it takes place in a dystopian near future full of mind control and a massive online multiplayer game which is used to control convicts and decide who gets set free. We already knew that Butler will star as Kable, one of the game’s most successful players, but now Slashfilm has the latest on who else might be in the cast.

They say rapper turned actor Ludacris and plays-younger-than-she-is actress Alison Lohman are also in it. Ludacris is part of some sort of rebellious, vigilante underground and apparently so is Lohman. They’re out to save the world from the evils of online role playing games. Isn’t that what the ratings system is for?

Seriously though, this project sounds good. Ludacris is a better actor than you’d expect (he’s amazing in Crash), and I’ll watch just about anything that has Gerard Butler playing a character named “Kable” in it. You just know he’s gonna rip somebody’s head off. Plus, it’s written and directed by the guys who brought you Crank, so even if everything else about it sucks the action is still bound to blast your boots off.
