As if it were a summer blockbuster, and not just an effort to cash in on the beloved memory of a giant pop star, the Michael Jackson concert documentary This Is It will be opening in advance screenings the night before, with as many as 2,000 of the 3,000 screening locations showing the film starting at 9 p.m.According to THR, advance sales begin this Sunday, and I'll genuinely be interested to see if it's this film or Twilight that's able to generate the biggest frenzy. I never would have assumed that MJ could garner the same crowds at Robert Pattinson, but after spending a summer seeing all kinds of MJ tribute T-shirts on the street, I no longer know what to expect.
