If you’re a big celebrity, making a musical seems to be the hot ticket to awards acclaim and instant increased popularity. Especially if you wear a funny wig like Johnny Depp. It doesn’t matter if anyone actually shows up to see it, as long as you make it. People seem to respect the effort.
Meryl Streep will make her effort next summer starring in a movie version of the Abba-based musical Mamma Mia!. Even if you know nothing else about it, you’ve probably at least seen the picture of her jumping on a bed, which we were one of the first places to bring you several months ago.
Now Universal has just sent us the first teaser poster for the movie. It’s pretty. Really pretty. Take a look:
