Marion Cotillard And Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Roles In The Dark Knight Rises Revealed!![]()
Months after we learned they'd both be in the film, we finally know which roles Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be playing in The Dark Knight Rises. According to a Warner Bros. press release, Cotillard will be playing Miranda Tate, "a Wayne Enterprises board member eager to help a still-grieving Bruce Wayne resume his father's philanthropic endeavors for Gotham." Gordon-Levitt's character is John Blake, "a Gotham City beat cop assigned to special duty under the command of Commissioner Gordon."
The most popular rumors had them as Talia Al-Ghul and the Holiday Killer respectively, though as is standard for Christopher Nolan's movies, there was no official information from the production until now. Here's what Nolan had to say about casting each of them in roles that apparently do not exist in the comics: "When you collaborate with people as talented as Marion and Joe, it comes as no surprise that you would want to repeat the experience. I immediately thought of them for the roles of Miranda and Blake, and I am looking forward to working with both of them again."More on this to come. The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters on July 20 next year, and starts shooting this summer. |
