Marisa Tomei, I cry foul! At the junket for The Wrestler you told us you had nothing coming up, no projects you were about to start work on. False! You, John C. Reilly and Jonah Hill are all apparently teaming up for an indie dramedy that takes the two guys out of the Apatow world for the first time in what feels like forever. OK, I guess I forgive you. This project seems exciting enough that I can't blame you for not wanting to jinx it.
The Hollywood Reporter says that brothers Jay and Mark Duplass will write and the direct the story, having made indie favorites like The Puffy Chair and Baghead in the past. Hill will play Tomei's son who tries to break things off when she starts a relationship with Reilly. Attracting star caliber like this could finally mean crossover success for the Duplass brothers, plus a chance for Hill to prove he's more than just a funny guy. I'll be looking forward to it.
