Marvel Confirms Chris Evans As Captain America

Sometimes Fridays are an opportunity for studios to release news they want to be effectively buried in a rush to get to the weekend. Sometimes they are opportunities to announce news that everybody knew weeks ago. Marvel's announcement today that Chris Evans will star as Captain America is the second kind of announcement.

Chris Evans to Star in Marvel Studios’ THE FIRST AVENGER: CAPTAIN AMERICAMarvel Studios has officially confirmed that Chris Evans will star as Captain America in the studio’s highly anticipated movie THE FIRST AVENGER: CAPTAIN AMERICA directed by Joe Johnston from a script penned by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely.Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige will produce THE FIRST AVENGER: CAPTAIN AMERICA.
