Matt Damon! If you've seen Team America: World Police or heard him talk politics it's easy to guess where his loyalties lie. So is it any surprise that the highly decorated and diverse actor would jump at the chance to play Robert F. Kennedy in a new biopic?

Damon, who also has a penchant for picking roles that have Oscar written all over them, is apparently interested in the project, or so says Deadline Hollywood. Of course, he won't sign up for the role until he's read the script. There's just one problem: there isn't a script yet.

But don't worry Kennedy fans! Someone's on the job! Steven Knight, the guy who wrote the screenplay for Eastern Promises is set to pen the story. Well, that is, as soon as he finishes the script he's supposed to be writing for the next Dan Brown film, The Lost Symbol.

No problem though. There is a director attached to the project: Gary Ross. Never mind that he already has several other supposed projects going (including directing The Phantom Tollbooth and writing/directing the movie Venom). Also never mind that despite getting attached to several things a year, the picky Ross has only actually written and/or directed six movies in the last twenty years.

So, to sum up, a movie about "Bobby" Kennedy that may or may not be directed by Gary Ross, might star Matt Damon if he likes the script that may get written by a guy who might actually start on the script after he finishes the one he's supposed to be working on now which he may not have even started yet.

Yeah. It might be a bit premature to start holding your breath.
