McConaughey Heads Back To The Courtroom![]()
I’ve gotten so used to Matthew McConaughey banking on his charm and good looks, that I frequently forget I enjoyed the actor in the first role I saw him in - the adaptation of John Grisham’s legal drama, A Time To Kill. Not that McConaughey didn’t take advantage of his charisma for the movie, but I did like the movie, and I’m not usually a fan of legal dramas.
McConaughey is returning to the courtroom in a movie adapted from Michael Connolly’s best selling novel, The Lincoln Lawyer. According to Variety, the movie will see McConaughey play a low-level criminal defense attorney who winds up representing a wealthy client with ties to one of his previous cases. The Lincoln Lawyer is one of those cases where I have to question the demand for a movie adaptation, since the movie deal was set into motion months before the book even hit shelves. Still, if it’ll keep McConaughey from doing another romantic comedy, especially one with Kate Hudson, I’m all for it. |
