This weekend we get the first in what is bound to be a long and tedious line of parody movies being released this year. Meet the Spartans takes Hollywood blockbusters from last year and hold their feet to the fire by showing us what those films would have been like… if they were really awful. Apparently this is supposed to be funny.
Mostly, I feel bad for Kevin Sorbo who, while maybe not the best actor in the world, has always seemed like a really nice guy. I root for him to succeed, even though he never does. He was great as Hercules in the 90s though, right? At least he’ll always have that.
