It hasn't been a record breaking Memorial Day weekend at the box office, but thanks to some big names and a slew of sequels it has been one of the larger ones.

Number one The Hangover Part II came in fourth place for the all time biggest Memorial Day weekend haul, right behind fellow sequels X-Men: The Last Stand, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and Memorial Weekend box office king Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.

While that may not seem impressive, bear in mind the movie's rating. The top ten Memorial Day weekend openings list is littered with PG-13 blockbusters, but Hangover II is the only Rated-R raunch comedy in the lot. A perfect storm of holiday weekend hype, an overrated predecessor, and an utter lack of anything else to watch this weekend if you're not up for animated kung fu animal fights.
