Michael Caine, Emily Mortimer And Jason Isaacs Confirmed For Cars 2![]()
When the Cars 2 trailer hit the web yesterday as expected, it came with an added surprise in the form of Michael Caine, voicing the suave spy car Finn MacMissile who initiates Mater in to the world of espionage. We hadn't hear any news about new voices being added to the cast at that point, but when Empire Online got in touch to confirm it was Caine, they also got a few more voices to add to the list.
Emily Mortimer, Jason Isaacs, Joe Mantegna, Peter Jacobson and Thomas Kretschmann are all part of the film as well-- in classic Pixar style, none of these are huge celebrity cameos, but voices most likely to fit the characters they're playing. Mortimer, known for Shutter Island and Match Point and a stint on 30 Rock, will be voicing Holley Shitftwell, a spy in training; Isaacs, on screen now as Lucius Malfoy in the seventh Harry Potter film, voices the spy jet Siddeley. The rest of the voices don't come with character descriptions, though given that Kretschmann is German, maybe we can expect some cross-border rivalry going on? Cars 2 hits theaters June 24 of next year; you can learn more about it in our Blend Film Database and check out the brand new trailer below. |
