Michael Moore Has A Crush On Canada

We all saw how much Michael Moore loves, or at least admires, Canada in Bowling for Columbine, in which he compared our guns n' violence culture with their open-door policy and punk kids who can't imagine why anyone would own a gun. And don't forget that in Moore's one fiction film, Canadian Bacon, loony American politicians actually declared war against our neighbors to the north.

So it only fits that for his next film, Moore will explicitly take on Canada, aiming to compare the Canadian and American systems of government. According to Slashfilm, which spotted Moore in Canadian hanging with the political candidates in this fall's election, this will probably be part of his planned "follow-up" to Fahrenheit 9/11, which will mostly be about America's status as a global empire.

As with any news about Michael Moore, most people will shrug and wonder who cares about this guy anymore anyway, and his remaining fans will be glad he's once again using Canada as an example of everything we're doing wrong. Though based on what my Canadian friends have told me about Canadian politics, our crazy Electoral College system may actually make the most sense. But I'll let Moore sort me out on that before I make any decision.
