In January 2008 Michelle Williams was nearly ready to start filming the indie drama Blue Valentine, in which she and Ryan Gosling would play a couple remembering better times as their marriage falls apart. Then Heath Ledger died, and Williams delayed shooting to give her time to mourn and cope with the immense amount of media attention that still hasn't really subsided.

But now, over a year later, filming has finally begun, according to Variety. They're shooting the film in New York and Pennsylvania, with Derek Cianfrance directing the script that he wrote with Cami Delavigne and Joey Curtis. The match-up between Gosling and Williams is undeniably exciting, and I'm more than ready to see what these two immensely talented actors can bring when they work together.
