Mila Kunis Could Join Liam Neeson In Paul Haggis's Third Person
As follow-up to his prison break drama The Next Three Days, writer-director Paul Haggis is returning to the concept that won him best picture for Crash, weaving together various interlocking stories to explore a common theme. This time around the stories have been whittled down to three and the theme is love. Titled Third Person this drama will be set in three locales popular in the romance genre: New York City, Rome, and Paris.
Liam Neeson and Olivia Wilde have already signed on to play the couple at the center of the New York plotline, and now The Wrap has word that Ted star Mila Kunis has joined the cast. Her role in the film is a mystery at present, as areJames Franco and Casey Affleck's, who are also in talks.Perhaps the three are being considered for a love triangle tale in the city of lights? With Haggis presently keeping mum on the Rome and Paris plots, it's difficult to say.
Third Person is set to go into production in mid-October. Corsan Films is producing and financing the feature, which is budgeted in the high teens. Its release is currently slated as 2014. In the meantime, you can see Franco and Kunis sharing the screen in Sam Raimi's adaptation of L. Frank Baum's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Oz: The Great and Powerful. Serving as a prequel to the tale of Dorothy, this fantasy flick stars Franco as the man who would be Oz. Along with Michelle Williams and Rachel Weisz, Kunis will be playing one of three witches. Oz: The Great and Powerful opens March 8, 2013.
