Miles Fisher Added To The Cast Of Clint Eastwood's J. Edgar![]()
Before I started writing for Cinema Blend I was one of those unlucky college students that graduated just around the time that the economy imploded. An out of work filmophile with a bachelors in journalism, I decided to start up my own film news site with a friend of mine. The first post I wrote was about a music video for a cover of the song "This Must Be The Place" by The Talking Heads. Performed by a guy named Miles Fisher, the video was an awesome tribute to Mary Harron's film American Psycho. Who knew that a year and a half later that same guy would be playing in a Clint Eastwood movie.
Deadline reports that Fisher - son of Richard W. Fisher, the President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas - has been cast in Eastwood's Hoover biopic J. Edgar. In the film the actor will play Agent Garrison, an FBI agent who interviews Hoover at various points throughout the film. Fisher's other credits include Superhero Movie, in which he did a dead on impression of Tom Cruise; an episode of Mad Men in which he played pot dealer Jeffrey Graves; and the viral video Pinkberry: The Movie. Fisher recently wrapped production on Final Destination 5. The J. Edgar cast also includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Armie Hammer, Naomi Watts, Josh Lucas, Judi Dench, Stephen Root, and Ed Westwick. If it wasn't already plainly obvious, I see a bright future for Miles Fisher. The guy has charisma to spare and puts it all on screen. This will not be the last time that you hear his name. |
