Resident Evil’s Milla Jovovich has been keeping things pretty low-key lately, professionally. She just started a family and now she’s ready to get back on the big screen a la Demi Moore in Striptease. Actually, I shouldn’t tease you like that. She will be playing a former stripper, so not like Moore’s role at all. Sorry guys, no word on whether or not she’s going to shimmy on the pole in the film.

Variety reports that the flick is called Keep Coming Back and that it will be renowned actor William H. Macy’s first foray into directing. I can only assume that the title is in reference to the Alcoholics Anonymous motto “Keep coming back; it works if you work it,” as the film is centered around AA folk.

The film follows a young man with a severe heart condition who has a giant crush on Milla Jovovich. Yeah, get in line, kid. He finds out that she attends AA meetings. Despite the fact that she’s much older than him, he decides to crash the AA meetings she goes to and try and win her heart.

The screenwriter, Will Aldis, wrote a couple of low budget films back in the early ‘00s, but doesn’t have much on his resume. Macy has already brought on pal Steve Buscemi as a cast member and Mos Def is rumored to be in the flick as well. If Steve Buscemi is playing a former drug addict who has joined AA, I am so there.

Although Macy may be a newb director, he’s shown such impeccable taste in the roles he’s chosen (see The Cooler, Focus, State and Main etc) that I’m sure he’ll pull though as a director. Macy is also slated to act in the film.
