'O.C.' star Mischa Barton will fall down the rabbit hole by starring in a twisted, contemporary take on Alice In Wonderland. Because that's never been done before.
Production Weekly says the movie is being called Malice in Sunderland, and it's written by Jayson "I spell my name with a Y and am therefore cooler than you" Rothwell. The script redoes Alice as an incredibly hot American student hit by a taxi in London, only to awake and discover she's in Comaland. No wait, they're calling it "Sunderland". In Sunderland, our well beyond training bras heroine must navigate through a rogues gallery of macabre underworld characters.
The movie's being shot in the UK next year by director Simon Fellows. Fellows will soon be famous as the guy who's bringing you the return of Jean-Claude Van Damme in the so-over-the-top-it's-funny movie Til Death. You haven't lived until you've seen that trailer.
If you have seen that trailer, then you know that while Fellows may not be much of a director, the man love a hard-R. Really hard. I hope Mischa is willing to work topless. Alice may get more than just an un-birthday party from the Mad Hatter.
