Isn’t Mischa Barton’s 15 minutes up yet? I guess not, as she, and Rumer Willis, have been cast opposite of Bruce Willis (Yep, Rumer’s father) in the dark comedy, The Sophomore, says The Hollywood Reporter. Hmm, I wonder how Rumer got that role?

The film sounds like a thinly veiled Brick (which you all should see) rip off. Billed as a teenager’s Chinatown (The Roman Polanski film that attempted to revitalize the modern film noir), the most popular girl in a Catholic school (Barton) dupes a sophomore reporter to investigate the stolen SAT exams. The plot thickens when it turns out the school’s president and top jock are the culprits. Rumer Willis will play Barton’s sidekick and Bruce Willis will play the deranged principal, obsessed with his days served in Desert Storm.

The film was previously titled Assassination of a High School President. Given the mixed response to Assassination of a President and school shootings, it’s no wonder they changed it. The film will be directed by Brett Simons and was written by Tim Calpin and Kevin Jakubowski – all Hollywood noobs.
