Mitch Hurwitz Making A Movie That Has Nothing To Do With Arrested Development![]()
If it were up to Arrested Development fans, Mitch Hurwitz, creator of the series, would be locked inside of his own house with his computer and not allowed back outside until he finished the script for the AD movie. Die-hards have been waiting years for Hurwitz to finish the script but, instead, have just been fed empty promises and claims like, "It's almost done!" and "Halfway finished!" Instead Hurwitz has spent most of his time developing two failed television shows - Sit Down And Shut Up and Running Wilde. Now, finally, Hurwitz is getting serious about going into films...only it's with a different project.
The Wrap reports that Hurwitz is now planning a remake of the Lars Von Trier comedy Direktoren For Det Hele for Universal. Retitled Boss Of It All, the story is about the owner of an small company who, whenever he has bad news to deliver, blames everything on a fictitious uber-boss. When the company is sold, however, the new owner wants to meet this uber-boss, so he hires a failed actor. While I don't hate the idea, the whole thing still makes me want to shake my fists with rage. Mr. Hurwitz, it's time to shit or get off the pot: either tell us that the movie is not happening or just fucking commit already. |
