More Automotive Problems For James Bond![]()
The first James Bond flick with Daniel Craig made headlines when it turned out Craig didn’t know how to drive the quarter-of-a-million dollar stick shift Bond was known for. Now it looks like that’s going to pale by comparison when it comes to Quantum of Solace’s automotive difficulties, which don’t appear to have come to an end.
It was bad enough when one of the movie’s cars plummeted into a lake while being transported to set on the winding roads of Italy. Thankfully nobody was hurt during that incident. Unfortunately, in a new accident, a stuntman was hospitalized when a car crashed during a stunt sequence on another winding road. A second stuntman was also injured, although not as seriously, reports Sci Fi.com. The specifics of the crash reveal this time the car wasn’t one of Bond’s trademark Aston Martins like the lake incident, but instead an Alfa Romero, which was filming a chase sequence with one of the Aston Martins and a truck. The Alfa Romero crashed into a wall, injuring both stuntmen on board. This time the car accident put a halt to filming, even though Daniel Craig or any other cast member was present (including director Mark Forster). The AP feed didn’t mention anything about basic driving training being offered, although the accident will be investigated. Don't be surprised if Bond starts biking more places in future movies if these vehicle issues keep popping up though. |
