More On Indy 4 Script![]()
Indiana Jones may be one step closer to being ready to possibly step onto the screen again… maybe.
We reported a couple days ago that George Lucas’s partner Rick McCallum announced that George had put the finishing touches on the script for Indiana Jones 4 and that the script was done… except for some touch-ups by Steven Spielberg, meaning the script wasn’t really done, it was just done as far as Lucas was concerned. Now E! Online is reporting that Indy himself, Harrison Ford, has told a German magazine that Spielberg and Ford are happy with the script: “ even Spielberg and I now have a script in hand that we both like. I believe that we can start with the filming soon.” According to that interview with Ford all that’s needed is a start date, which should be set once he gets a little practice with the whip. However… (you knew that was coming, didn’t you?) According to Spielberg’s publicist, Martin Levy, in the same E! Online article, things aren’t what they seem: “[The script] certainly seems to be [in the can], but I don't think we're at that point where we have a firm start date.” What? So Indiana Jones 4 is ready to film… or it isn’t… depending on who you listen to. Anyone feel like this whole thing has been less about whether the script is finished and more about keeping the Indy 4 name out there in the news? I mean, it’s gotten at least two stories out of us thus far. We’ll keep you updated on more news, or lack thereof, as we find it out. |
