Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise are getting married!

So, what does that have to do with movies you ask? For starters, Tom almost strangled Dakota Fanning to death with an overly excited embrace not long after he propsed to Katie. Now that would have been news. Also, now that we know they're getting hitched, and that the subsequent marriage is doomed, we can all stop caring and the marketing people for War of the Worlds can get back to touting their movie the old fashioned way: more trailers.

Yahoo! is featuring a new internet exclusive teaser. As you probably guessed, it's more people screaming with cut shots to Cruise looking like someone just told him he's old enough to be his fiancee's father. Keep an eye out though, there's a nice moment featuring something that looks like a giant mechanical squid attacking a boat. 20,000 Aliens Under the Sea anyone?
