More X-Men Spin-Offs Which Won't Happen!![]()
According to Super Hero Hype, Zak Penn, whose notable achievements include staring in Osmosis Jones and writing classics such as Elektra, Inspector Gadget Behind Enemy Lines and Suspect Zero, has announced that he is working on an X-Men spinoff, but that neither he nor the studio has no idea what it is.
He says: "...part of my deal was that I would get to direct one of the spin-offs. It's not going to be 'Wolverine' or the 'Magneto' one that they've announced. It's going to be one that I'm theoretically supposed to write. I just have to find the time to write it." With passion like that as his guide there is no way the film could be anything but pheonominal, and of course he's determined to put his own personal stamp on the material. "You never get a choice of anything, truthfully, because it's all about actor availabilities and about Marvel and everyone else... Every movie involves 50 other people's decisions," affirms Penn. This non-announcement follows the non-announcements for the Magneto and Wolverine Spin Offs, on which we've seen exactly zero activity. Between apathy, malevolance, and idiocy Fox has mismanaged a franchise with limitless potential into the ground. One thing is to be sure, no one really gives half of a crap anymore, not the studio, and not the fans either. |
