Say what you will about Disney, but the company knows how to put together one hell of a set. That's why I am glad Disney is behind The Muppets DVD release. After seeing the film in theaters and realizing what a gem The Muppets movie really was, I decided it was a must-own for me (although it didn’t make my Top Ten list like Josh and Eric). Now, it just makes my day a little better to know the extras, along with the movie’s Blu-Ray and DVD releases, will be spectacular.

It’ll be time to play the music and view the deleted scenes with the whole cast when The Muppets hits Blu-Ray and DVD on March 20th. Buyers will get to choose from a three-disc, Blu-Ray, DVD, Digital Copy, and Soundtrack Download “Wocka-Wocka Value Pack”; a two-Disc Blu-Ray and DVD Combo Pack; and a DVD and Soundtrack Download set. While each set will come with special features, the “Wocka-Wocka Value Pack” is by far your best bet. Not only does it come with all the special features available on the various other discs, it also includes a digital download for the complete soundtrack to the movie. I have often hoped for such a feature in the past, but this is the first time it's happened on a release I have covered. Buyers opting for the three-disc set will be able to listen to “Man or Muppet” to their hearts' content.
