I saw Eagle vs. Shark a couple of weeks ago at the SXSW Film Festival, and instantly fell in love with it. It’s a beautiful, funny, sweet, and incredibly deep movie about real, awkward, strange love. None of that stupid Hollywoood stuff. Loren Horsley gives one of the best female performances I’ve seen in anything… well… ever and if there’s any justice in the world, Eagle vs. Shark is going to turn into this year’s Little Miss Sunshine. Except it’s better.

You really need to see what I’m talking about. The first trailer for the film has just popped up online and we’ve got it for you here. I’m not really sure it captures the essence of what makes the film so great, but then there’s so much to it that I’m not sure that’s even possible with two minutes of video. Still, it’s a solid trailer and it gives you at least some sort of idea. It’s a bit too focused on Jerrod for my taste, Lilly is the real focus of the film and by the time it’s over she’ll make you fall in love.
