Judd Apatow isn’t just funny, he’s a comedy nerd. If you caught him on the Tonight Show a few months ago then you probably heard him talk about how as a 15-year-old he lured Leno to his parents house and into his bedroom where he… interviewed him. Apatow, even as a kid, was so into comedy that he created a fake interview show and then arranged interviews with various comedians to pick their brains.

As part of the promotion for Funny People Universal has posted a series of podcasts on iTunes, the first batch of which features Apatow talking about his lifelong obsession with comedy and showcasing some of those interviews he did as a kid. You’ll also see Adam Sandler and Apatow discussing their early days together in comedy (and living together), with footage of both of them as kids, up on stage doing their thing. If you’re a fan of Apatow, Sandler, or comedy in general it’s a must see.
