My Trailer Flicka

Read our preview of My Trailer Flicka
My Trailer Flicka Tim McGraw fans rejoice! The country singer turned actor is done playing second string to the likes of Wayne Knight and Billy Bob Thornton and is finally headlining his own film. The trailer for Flicka, based on the classic novel "My Friend Flicka", is out and it's chock full of Mr. McGraw, wrangling, emoting and singing the background music.

If I remember aright from my childhood, the book was about a young boy who can't seem to win approval in his father's eyes but manages to do so when he shows his devotion to training a wild mustang named Flicka. From the looks of the trailer, the boy has been changed to a young woman and the focus has been shifted to the father character. I guess if they hadn't the movie wouldn't be a very good Tim McGraw vehicle and his song "Daddy's Little Girl" wouldn't really work for the soundtrack. There's nothing like sacrificing classic storytelling at the altar of country music movies.

You can check out the trailer for yourself at Quicktime.com to get your Tim McGraw fix. Oh, Alison Lohman and Maria Bello are in there as well.
