It was only a couple of days ago that we heard Casino Royale producers were looking at Jessica Simpson to be the next Bond girl. Now she's either rejected them or they need more than one bikini girl on which James can lavish his attention.

According to our friends over at M&C, the folks behind Bond 21 were so impressed with Naomi Watts' pinpup girl performance in Kong that they have now offered her a role in the next 007 film.

Watts has been contacted and now the decision is up to her. She is apparently hesitant, afraid of being typecast. Who can blame her? The 37-year-old blond bombshell has already made a name for herself as a respected, and talented serious actress. Strapping on a pair of spiked heels so that the new James Bond can anoint himself by bedding her seems a little like a step backwards.

Charlize Theron, Angelina Jolie, and Scarlett Johansson have all already rejected roles offered to them in the film, with concerns similar to those Watts is mulling. Casino Royale might be better off aiming a little lower. Go back to Jessica Simpson guys, she's a better fit. Bond girls aren't great actresses, they're just a pair of breasts.
